Canada has now joined the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) and started exploratory talks with China regarding a potential free trade agreement. However, there has been very limited discussion on the potential implications of the Belt and Road Initiative for the Canadian economy. Does China\u2019s the Belt and Road Initiative provide opportunities, or pose a threat to the Canadian economy over the next decade? Should Canada actively engage in the Belt and Road partnership?
