GBIC Salon: Case Study of Seattle-Vancouver Cross-Border Regional Business Cooperation and New Partnerships

In April 2017, GBIC Salon “Case Study of Seattle-Vancouver Cross-Border Regional Business Cooperation and New Partnerships” was held in University of Washington. More than 20 entrepreneurs, scholars and experts attended the event. Attendants talked about the new partner system, and discussed the possibility and potential of cooperation between Seattle and Vancouver with detailed data.

Dr. Yinhai Wang welcomed all the guests from Vancouver and Seattle. Then he shared his own experience in real estate industry. Dr. Jiawei Zhang gave a talk on “Case Study of Seattle-Vancouver Cross-Border Regional Business Cooperation and New Partnerships”. By analyzing the data of regional comparisons, population, trade linkages, immigration, tax policies and the case of Mira project, Dr. Zhang explored the potential for cooperation between Seattle and Vancouver. Dr. Xiaofeng Huang analyzed the potential of Seattle-Vancouver cross-border regional business cooperation by focusing on land, water resources, electricity, transportation, and human resources.
