Dr. Li is a Research Fellow of GBIC. Dr. Li (MBA, Queensland; PhD, Illinois) is also an Associate Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship at the State University of New York at Buffalo (UB). He is the inaugural Academic Director of the university’s Entrepreneurship Academy. His research focuses on how firms make strategic investment decisions in highly uncertain, entrepreneurial contexts such as venture capital, crowdfunding, entrepreneurial innovation and international investment. He has published extensively in leading strategy and entrepreneurship journals. He currently is an Associate Editor of Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal and Coordinating Editor of Information Systems Frontier. His research has been featured in Forbes, Entrepreneur, Crowdfund Insider, among others. He has consulted for and served on the advisory boards of startups. He received his PhD from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and an MBA from the University of Queensland.
